Alto™ can be used to create the Alto Smooth™ or the Alto Tuscany™ finish. Alto Smooth™ is a pristine troweled plaster finish with a texture ranging from smooth to slightly rough. It has a natural, soft, and subtle color variation. Alto Tuscany™ has the appearance of aged, distressed plaster. Alto Tuscany™ has more distinct color variation. A colorwash technique is used to increase the mottling effect.
Alto™ may be used for interior or exterior applications over properly prepared substrates, including new or existing drywall. May also be applied over cement or gypsum base coats or existing plaster surfaces. Alto may be used as an exterior finish over properly prepared stucco basecoats.
